MAKATI City Mayor Abby Binay on Thursday said the house-to-house distribution of unclaimed Blu Card cash incentives has started.
The Blu Card is a subsidy program for senior citizens, entitling them to cash aid and other privileges.
Distribution started in Guadalupe Viejo, Guadalupe Nuevo, Kasilawan, Pinagkaisahan, Carmona, Valenzuela, and Singkamas.
Schedules for future distribution will be released in the coming days.

More than 12,000 seniors failed to receive their incentives in 2024 due to the lack of mobile phones and other issues.
“I received the last one in 2022 because I lost my cellphone and my GCash,” said 69-year-old Asuncion Marcelino of Guadalupe Viejo, who was in tears after receiving her aid. “I am thankful to Mayor Abby Binay because she fulfilled her promise to us seniors.”
First-time recipient Bien Victor Cabrera, 63, welcomed the shift away from requiring digital wallets. “This is my first time to receive. I am thankful to the mayor for approving this. It is much easier now, and I can see improvements.”
Another resident, Marichu Abiera, said she last received her benefit in 2023. “I had a problem with my GCash so I could not get it last year. I am happy that the system is active now. Since my husband passed away, I have difficulty with GCash. I am grateful that I received it directly this time,” she said.

Under City Ordinance 2025-104, every active Blu Card holder will get cash aid in two installments: P4,000 for ages 60-69, P5,000 for ages 70-79, P6,000 for ages 80-89, P11,000 for ages 90-99, and P12,000 for those aged 101 and above.
Centenarians will continue to receive ₱100,000 and a plaque of appreciation from the city government. As of June 2025, Makati has 54,017 active Blu Card holders.
